On American Masters & The Personality They Bring
I’ve spent the last 15 years watching Masters from every corner of the world interact on MastersCash. Some are quiet. Some are loud. Some are calculated. Some are unpredictable.
But as an American Master myself, there are certain qualities I recognize immediately when another American Master walks into the room.
One thing I’ve noticed is that American Masters tend to come at things from a different angle.
And we’re not exactly known for keeping our mouths shut.
I think a lot of that comes from the culture. Americans aren’t really raised to blindly follow anyone. We question things. We challenge things. Sometimes we probably challenge things more than we should.
But that’s also where a lot of creativity and individuality comes from. American Masters tend to develop their own style. Their own brand. Their own approach.
They aren’t usually looking around the room trying to figure out what everybody else is doing. They’re more likely to say:
“This is how I do things.”
Some slaves love that. Some don’t. That’s fine. Not every Master is supposed to appeal to every slave.
What I’ve always respected about many American Masters is their willingness to be themselves, even when it’s unpopular.
Over the years we’ve had American Masters who were loud, quiet, arrogant, humble, funny, serious, rich, broke, successful, struggling, and everything in between.
The one thing they never were was boring.
Whether you agreed with them or not, they brought personality to the table. And that’s been part of MastersCash from day one.
The American Master may not always be the easiest guy in the room.
But he’s usually the one making sure the room knows he’s there.
